The Snatchabook has been shortlisted for Oscar’s First Book Prize, a new prize established by the Evening Standard in tribute to Oscar Ashton (son of James Ashton, the Evening Standard City editor), who died of a heart condition in December 2012.
The Snatchabook has been shortlisted for a new national children’s book award in the UK, the Booktrust Best Book Awards (Picture Book category). The winner will be decided by children’s votes, so get your local schools, libraries and book shops to register now!! Closing date for votes is 30 June.
Tom and I had lots of fun performing Ruby Nettleship and the Ice Lolly Adventure, Big Scary Monster and The Snatchabook at a charity event in aid of Action for Children.
