All The Ways I Love You

If you were a rainbow,
I would be the sky.
I’d feed you lots of sun and rain
To keep you shining high.
How many ways can we show our love for a child? This rhyming picture book takes us on an imaginary journey through the natural world, from acorns and garden snails to dolphins, clouds and bluebirds, illustrating all the ways we nurture, encourage, have fun with, comfort and love our children.
All The Ways I Love You is written by Helen Docherty and illustrated by Daniela Sosa. It was published by Alison Green Books in the UK in January 2025, and has been translated into Greek and Portuguese.

Reviews:
“What is love? How can we describe it to a child?
In this delightful story, perfect for a bedtime read, Helen Docherty explores the many ways love can be shown. Everyday life activities such as drawing, being in the garden, at a party and so on make this easily relatable for young children. The wonderful references to the natural world are illustrated beautifully by Daniela Sosa’s use of soft colours. Each scene is brought to life with a warm and gentle touch.
This would be a lovely book to share, as warm and snuggly as a cosy blanket!”

“All The Ways I Love You celebrates the connection between a child and their parent, the laughter they share as well as the quiet moments of comfort. Helen Docherty poignantly captures the unique bond between parent and child, and the enduring love. Her voice is warm and conversational, drawing the reader in and making them feel like they are part of each family.
Daniela Sosa’s beautiful illustrations perfectly capture multicultural family life. Each page has been filled with colour and positivity.
A must-read for any parent seeking connection, understanding, and a reminder of some of the positives of parenthood. We gave this toddler book a well deserved 10 out of 10 stars. We really couldn’t fault it and all the adults and children we shared it with loved it!”

“This book is full to the brim with love and reassurance for our little ones. Penned as a book to share whilst you snuggle up, I can totally see us reading this often as a bedtime story just showing our squishes how much we love them.
I know which book I’ll be recommending as baby shower gifts for all the new 2025 babies!”

“This beautiful book…compares the love a parent has for their child to nature. The comparisons are so lovely. When the child gets older, I think it could spark some special conversations about how much a parent would go to the ends of the earth for their child. The pictures are stunning throughout.”

“Helen Docherty’s soothing rhyming text with its wealth of ‘what ifs’ and Daniela Sosa’s joyous, richly coloured illustrations, make this both reassuring and an invitation to small children to use and develop their imagination – an essential part of learning.
A book to share, ponder upon and enjoy with a young child or perhaps, to give as a gift to a family with a new baby.”

“A cute rhyming read with stylish illustrations that portrays all the different ways a parent shows love!”
